    Mukai family’s Former House

This is a farmer residence built in Edo period.

This is a farmer residence built in Edo period which features the architectural style of Sennan area in those days.

Mukai residence was moved from Kaminogo-Tsukueba to the new location, and rebuilt in Ogi where it remains today, due to the construction operation of Kansai airport expressway during 1991-1993.

The enlarged parts of the former house were removed, and the reproduction was made as faithfully as possible according to the original method of construction by using old materials.

It was registered as a cultural property by Izumisano city in 1993 to hand down this architectural remain and their life style to posterity.
